When you lose all hope,

Remember this.

Remember why you are

Standing where you are

Remember your goal, your purpose

How you got here

Remember the challenges you overcame,

And failures which tried to pull you back

Remember those long hours you’ve put in

To get here today

Remember all those cups of coffee

All that sweat, all those tears

Remember how you’ve learnt the hard way

That success doesn’t come easy

Remember that you are mortal

And that you can’t do everything

Remember that no one else lives forever either,

So treasure every moment with loved ones

Remember your responsibility to your parents

You owe them everything

Remember your responsibility to your spouse

They love you more than anyone

Remember your responsibility to your children

They look up to you

Remember your responsibility to your friends

And the mutual support you share

Remember to respect elders

They have seen so much more of the world than you

They are naive and inexperienced

So think before you act.

Letting go is never easy, but it is important
